Plastic surgery in men and women over the age of 50, better known as the baby boomers, is becoming more popular, because they view plastic surgeons and dermatologists as the “fountain of youth”. Baby boomers are forever trying to stay in good physical shape and maintain a youthful appearance. Since we are all living longer as a generation, many of us are leading healthier lives and therefore surgical procedures later in life are safer than it has ever been. Additionally, there are many more non-surgical treatments that are possible options, which are giving people alternatives to surgical procedures.
