Carlos J. Puig, DO

Founding Member of the ISHRS.  Over the years Puig has presented papers, workshops and surgical demonstrations on many topics including: Female Hair Restoration, Complex Case Management, Professional Marketing, Professional Ethics, Emergency Preparedness in Hair Restoration Surgery Practice, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, HRS Office Design, HRS Team Management, Complication Management,, Fellowship Instructor Training.

Dr. Puig is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, Fellow, ACEP, and the Diplomate, and Past President of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery.

Puig has had a special interest in Continueous Quality Improvement and the application of Six Sigma Principals to HRS for nearly 15 years. He has studied with W. Edwards Deming and other authorities on this topic.

Dr. Puig has served as chair of the ISHRS Fellowship Training Committee, helping to complete the new Guidelines for ISHRS Fellowship Training Programs and expanding the available programs from three to seven during his tenure; he also has chaired the Core Curriculum Curriculum Committee, and the ISHRS Task Force for Physician and Assistant Education. Puig is currently serving as a member of the ISHRS Board of Governors.
